NKP guy zugmann Everytime they do these long shut downs, the place dies a little more. I'm about over it. I feel the same way, but I'll probably hang around and turn out the lights after everyone's left and the party's over.

I'm waiting for my next issues of "Classic Trains" and "Classic Toy Trains" to show up so I can have a look at the masthead and see if the one I hold most responsible for the ex-Kalmbach foul-ups is still on the payroll. I won't name names but in my opinion he didn't understand the fan mag business or its customer base at all.

I'm about over it. Besides, seems I can't make a reply without someone copping an attitude with what I type. screw it.

pennytrainsWith the move from the old Kalmbach offices to the new digs in process I wouldn't expect the crashes to stop before everyone and everything gets settled in or farmed out to a subcontractor.
Everything SEEMS to be working OK today (8/18/2024) with a minimum amount of fuss but I suspect you're right Becky concerning the unavoidable chaos usually involved with a move, we've all been there.
With thieves, scammers, hackers and other malcontents running rampant with their ai phishing poles, auto dialers and other methods of trying to steal everyone's data, identity, money and anything else they can get their greedy little claws on, I'm sure the forum servers are crashing way more often than anyone would like. Have you noticed that now you need to go through extra security protocols to even access websites like Menard's?

Same me, different spelling!
I wasn't able to post anything until today 8/12
I was getting 504 errors, and 'Something went wrong' errors and ablt to call up the Trains Forum Index occasionally - but trying to access any individual post and make a post ended in one of the above failures.
Never too old to have a happy childhood!
I don't have much of a clue as to what has been causing the problems, having had pretty much the same experience as you have, including the long time to load. Surprised to see my first post tonight actually get posted.
Does anyone know what has been going on with the family of "TRAINS" forums? I haven't been able to get any of them to work this week until today. Even then they take a long time to load.
