Winter view of the Lehigh Gorge Scenic RR excursion train crossing the Lehigh River just above the town of Jim Thorpe, PA.. The high bridge is ex-Central RR of New Jersey. The Reading & Northern has plans to put in a wye at this location that would involve a second high bridge over the Lehigh River. The wye would make north-south operations more fluid on the railroad, avoiding a run-around move in Jim Thorpe. If the wye ever comes to fruition, this spot would come to be regarded by railfans as the Keddie Wye of the East.
