So a sister publication to TRAINS that ends with "Age" produced an update on Texas Central (Dallas to Houston High speed rail). They are working on their financing package now but have selected Spain National Railways RENFE has the operator of the new line. How Spanish Operators initeract with Japanese Trainsets should be interesting. I guess RENFE was probably the lowest bidder.
They have green lights to start construction when they are ready to and stated it would be late this year or early next based on first tranche of financing which they say they are sure they will get setup.
