Wow, I actually learned something new I had not known all these years. Previous until today I believed the the general consensus that Wisconsin Central never served Milwaukee, WI. I learned that may not be entirely true. I was looking at old pictures of the Milwaukee Road Everett Street Depot and stumbled across an interesting note that it was built to host passenger trains of the following railroads:
Milwaukee Road
Wisconsin Central
Milwaukee and Northern - later merged into Milwaukee Road (Milwaukee to Green Bay Line).
So then I started to look at old WC timetables and poof there it was a line to Milwaukee, WI from then a city called Schiellingersville (This is now Slinger, WI).....see weblink below.
It is definitely shown as their line and not just on this timetable either, you can see other timetables that also show this line around the same time period but not the same year. Slinger to Milwaukee still exists and is owned and run by the Wisconsin and Southern today.

I am guessing this line was either sold to the Milwaukee and Northern or the follow-on Milwaukee Road later as perhaps not a profitable line for WC to keep?
For those of you that do not live in Wisconsin, Slinger has a small yard for interchange with the Slinger to Milwaukee line.....which kind of indicates to me that WC sold it to another railroad at some point.
Does anyone know of the history of this line in more detail or what Wisconsin Central Passenger Trains used it to reach the Milwaukee Station on Everett Street?
