June 1 - 4 Reservation system shows # 7 & 8 originating at end points cancelled.  807 & 808 shows operating MSP - CHI.  No announcement yet on Amtrak web site.   Will check BNSF web site and if anything will post.

EDIT  SEA & PDX originations of builder cancelled May 31 - Jun 3.

Further research show builders only cancelled Minot - MSP Jun  1 - Jun 4

I live with a cat and like her curiosity is part of my make-up.  What does blue streak refer to, i.e. a train, movie, etc.?

Another item that was shared with me about 10 days ago by the senior conductor on #22 out of Fort Worth has yet to be posted by Amtrak.

He told me that Number 21 will terminate at Fort Worth for the last two weeks of July and the first three weeks of August due to track and communications work around Tower 55. Number 22 will originate in Fort Worth.

He also told me that #21 and #22 will run on the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) between Dallas and Fort Worth because of anticipated freight train congest[on on the UP between Big D and Cow Town. Hopefully, as a result, the TRE will agree to host the Eagle after the temporary arrangement.  It would eliminate the backing operation at Fort Worth and perhaps reduce the schedule by as much at 15 to 20 minutes.

Buses will be substituted between Fort Worth and San Antonio.

Apologies to the forum.  haste to post cancellations in case anyone was traveling over the route during the June 1 - 4 period.    Someone with eyes on the KO sub and Devils lake subs can determine if

1.  Is BNSF is doing a major surfacing of the route(s) .  If so how many different tie and/surfacing equipment.

2.  The route(s) appear to be very subject to frost heaves, displacements etc since the Builders seem to take a very long time across the subs.  Has anyone ridden to bee able to clock the various slow orders ?

3.  This shut down is going to make the many short passengers unable to make their trips by trains.
