A train from Sacramento to Reno called The Gold Rush.

A train from Hollywood to Sacramento callled The Schwarzenegger Express.

A train that encircles Washington DC called The Runaround. Alternate name: The Imagination Limited.

A train across the Bible Belt called The City of Corpus Christi.

Maybe more later.....

A few imaginary ones.

Merchants Limited.

Traders Overland.

Brokers Express.

Who knows? They may have been used already by someone.

Really wanna clear the railroad? MAIN + 4 numbers of your choice.

There is probably only one more above that on this planet. POTUS.

I like that one!

They could put a large stuffed rabbit in the back of a hy-rail truck and have the train chase it down the track.

There are great promotional possibilities:

"Prerfers The Rail", "Hugs The Rail", etc.

For what it's worth, I once owned a racing Greyhound I named "Streamliner".

"By many measures, the U.S. freight rail system is the safest, most efficient and cost effective in the world." - Federal Railroad Administration, October, 2009. I'm just your average, everyday, uncivilized howling "anti-government" critic of mass government expenditures for "High Speed Rail" in the US. And I'm gosh darn proud of that.

Back before they called it the Acela, Amtrak was going to call it the American Flyer. A.C.Gilbert would have been proud. Being a Lionel man myself, I wish they would name one the Joshua Lionel Cowan or maybe the Lionel Liner.

On my layout, I have Amtrak service between Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati.  On my schedule that I've created, there are "Shuttle Service" trains between Cleveland and Columbus and between Columbus and Cincinnati.  Between Cleveland and Cincinnati, the trains are the Clevelander, the Buckeye Flyer, and the Cincinnatian.

As a fellow Ohioan, how about the Heartland Flyer or the Queen City and Lakefront?
