I am particularly interested in finding out the name of the company that ran passenger trains from Bensenville to Chicago in 1896. Thanks for any help you can offer.
Bensenville - the same Bensenville North of Chicago that was the home of the Milwaukee Road's (Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific) primary Chicago yard?

Chicago (Halsted Street) to Byron, IL constructed by Chicago and Pacific Railroad Company circa 1874 and complete by 1876. Leased by Chicago Milwaukee & St.Paul Railway April 1, 1880 and purchased by that railroad April 2, 1900. It was the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul railroad until 1928 when it was reorganized and they added the Pacific........I think is what it says on wikipedia.
