How did the the various agencies prepare for this storm and how are they handling this storm or is it a fairly mild storm ?  would especially like to know how any damaged NJT equipment is used and if there are equipment failures ?.Lots of NEC airline cancellations which may increase AMTRAK traffic ?

As of now (10:45 am Wednesday, January 16) on the NEC line NJT reports one train has a 10 minute delay.  No other reports about anything.  Last night we had sleet and freezing rain and this morning everything is encrusted with ice.  I suppose the ice is off the rails by now; it sure itsn't off the roads.

Ice --  oh boy    How much ice on CAT?  That can really cause the variable tension NEC CAT to sag ?

How much ice on CAT?

The Amtrak website has no reports of any problem due to ice on the cat.  The NJT site reports only one 10  minute delay with no reason.  NJT service starts about 5 am so by now any ice is long gone.  There is no indication of any problem due to the cat icing up.
