Are the connectors on the back of the Alstom PBA and PBKA locomotives the same? Can either locomotives coupled to one another? The HO scale Mehano Jouef PBA connector at the back is different from the PBKA model at the back.

Do you mean the couplers on the front? There are no couplers connecting the powercars (locomotives) to their trains. If so then the answer is yes, a Thalys PBA trainset can be coupled to a Thalys PBKA trainset.

I thought TGV power cars were coupled to their sets with screw couplers and conventional buffers, even the original DC TGV Sud Est sets which had traction motors on the end passenger cars.
The train sets themselves are articulated but only the original prototype set TGV001 had the power cars articulated to the passenger cars.
For what it is worth the two types of power cars are both used on TGV Duplex trains, but I don't know if the couplings are the same.
