Railfanning in Central Florida
Posted by jester007 on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 8:56 AM

I live in Lakeland now and near some nice tracks and alot of action.

I like finding yards in the area. I found one in particular. Winston Yard in Lakeland. There is a service road that runs parallel with the yard. There isn't a sign or posting of any sort to not enter/ no tresspassing. The road runs the length of the yard until you get to the towr for the yard. On neither side is a tresspassing sign or keep out or anything. Can I drive along this road or is this something I need to stay away from?

I also see action in Mulberry  and some smaller yards. I am looking for large yards where trains frequnt on a regular basis.

I also have pics to upload but seem to have an issue posting them, here. Please help
