Railroading in High River, Alberta Area

I thought there was only one line that went south of Calgary that went to Coutts/Sweetgrass. But earlier this year I was on the bus that went through High River and the surrounding towns north and south of it. The rail lines looked as if they weren't used very often. Was this a spur line off the busier north/south line? Inquring minds want to know.
