Two new German freight schedules posted
Posted by beaulieu on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 11:50 PM

German Railfans have compiled the 2007 freight schedules for two of the German Hotspots,

The Rhine Valley which can be found here     Rheintal 2007

And for the Gemuenden area, where the E-W line from Frankfurt to Nuernburg, crosses the N-S line from Hamburg to Munich.   Maintal 2007

The Rhine Valley is Two Main Tracks on each bank, with a double crossing at Koblenz, where the Moselle route to France branches off. Linz and Remagen are north of Koblenz on the east and west banks respectively, while St. Goarhausen and Boppard are south of Koblenz also on the east and west bank respectively.

At Gemuenden, the station doesn't lend itself to good freight watching so Karlstad, the first station south of Gemuenden is listed, as is Arnstein, which is a little east of Gemuenden. Note that Karlstad is much busier.

Any train in either schedule numbered below 40000 is a special passenger train (Sleeper train, Autotrain, or Vacation Special).

Trains with a symbol of "TEC" or "IKE" is an intermodal train.

Trains symboled "DGS" are operated by an Open Access operator, many but not all of these are also Intermodal trains.

Trains symboled "FE", "FIR", "FR", or "FX" are mixed manifest trains

Trains symboled "CS" and "CSQ" are solid trainloads for one customer.

Trains symboled "CHL" are loaded coal or Iron Ore trains. Empties run as "CS" or "CSQ"

Drop me a PM if you want more of an explanation. Both schedules run first North to South from Midnight to Midnight, and then from South to North.

Now if they would just do the Eichenberg schedule I would be very happy.
