I diecided to make my return here by posting another Illinois Where-Is-It?

 The Clue:

This city in East Central Illinois is served by 2 Class 1s and a short line. The Class 1s are the Canadian National and Norfolk Southern. The Norfolk Southern branch comes off the mainline at Bement, IL (former Wabash, of course). What is this city?

And throw in another Sign - Welcome [#welcome] back. You've been MIA since 11-02-06. Six months. Time off for good behavior? Laugh [(-D]

Sounds like it's at or near an interesting (to me) train-watching place called Gibson City.  Went through there once; wouldn't mind going back.

Now we can wait another six months for CD to show up again to find out if we're all right (welcome back!).

The shortline is the Bloomer Shippers Line. (has Mook's favorite CB&Q engine colors).

IIRC - (not near my citations or maps), N&W pulled the plug east of Gib City in 1984 after a failed attempt by shortline Prairie Central RR and N&W wound up with the remnants.
