I'm heading out to the MRL in a week and a half, and I've found out that major tie replacement is closing down the line during the day until early June. Question: if they are working between Missoula and Helena during the day (I believe they will be in the Bearmouth area when I am there), will they stack up trains at Missoula and Helena until the work window ends for the day and then cut them loose? Will the various locals still be running during the day anyway? I'd hate to go all the way to Montana and not see a train run anywehre until 4pm each day. I assume they won't work on weekends (bad assumption?), but that doesn't help during the week. Can any MRL experts out there give me an idea how they operate during these work windows?
