BNSF B23-7s?
Posted by Lyon_Wonder on Saturday, April 7, 2007 1:17 AM

According to a board member over at Locophotos.com, BNSF are storing B23-7s at Topeka, KS.  Does this mean BNSF is in the process for retiring these ex-ATSF 4 axle GE's numbered in the #4200 series, which are probably the last Dash7's in Class I service?  And, as we all know, older GE's don't last as long with American roads as EMDs.

Railpictures.net, though, shows BNSF B23-7s still in use as late as March of this year, so who knows?

I read on another board that the maintenance agreement with GE on these units expired on March 31st. Sounds like retirement to me on these units.
