Metro and Amtrak Delayed in Rockville, MD
Posted by RudyRockvilleMD on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 9:40 PM

According to the Fox 5 10 PM News the westbound Amtrak Capitol Limited was stopped at the Rockville, MD station, MARC Brunswick Line trains were stopped before Rockville, or held in Washington, and Metro's Red Line trains were stopped at the Twinbrook Station this evening, March 14, because some unidentified bags were found on the Capitol Limited.

Passengers on the Capitol Limited were evacuated, and Metro passengers were transferred to buses to continue their journey to Rockville or Shady Grove. The Montgomery County Bomb Squad searched the Capitol Limited and they found no explosives so the train was cleared to proceed approximately 3 hours later. Add to tht there was a fire at the Metro Red Line Dupont Circle.
