The Department of Transportation has informed Don Becker – the new owner of the Boise Tour Train – that he can’t register three Italian-made trains he imported to Boise.
The new equipment does not have the proper state-of-origin information from the manufacturer, which is needed to obtain a vehicle title in Idaho, Becker said.
He’s also discovered that the trains he purchased from the previous owner aren’t properly titled either, even though they’re 28 years old. The department is recommending the registration be revoked, Becker said.
