That's the truth. When i'm in advanced calculus taking the first derivitive of functions, we have to find something called critical numbers. Being lazy as we are, everybody shortens critical numbers to CN. Well thats when my mind drifts to canada and alcos and such.
Or economics, where bond order is shortened to BO. Well most other kids thing about what smells, i think what's broken.

You spend Thanksgiving Day watching the Rochelle webcam on you computer monitor instead of watching football on TV. Happy Thanksgiving to all.[:)]

I am guilty of all the following.
You might be a railfan if...
...you see abreviations, and immediately know which railroad's reporting marks they are.
...you know the railroads in several cities better than your city's streets.
...you know the freeway network primarily by which tracks they are near.
...you hope to get held up by a train at the crossing.
...your dream car is a locomotive.
-And here are a few that I am not yet guily of-
...your block signal your driveway.
...you put an alerter in your car.

Keep 'em coming-over 125 people have visited this site, but we only have 8 postings... there are more humorus railfans than that.

I guess you might be a railfan,if you watch trains, pull over at
an R.R. crossing when the lights are flashing and other cars
pull past you, keep an extra camera in the glove box, hoping
you will see something interesting on the way home Or in your
house, you don't have a dinning room,BUT HAVE THE RAILROAD
ROOM[:D]

Oh yeah, I guess when you model them also[:)]

Here's a few.
You might be a railfan if
...your income taxes are miniscule because you donate so much to railroad museums.
...when the Amtrak engineer on your local subdivision got transferred, you moved to still be able to talk with him at the station, albeit 400 miles away.
...you have a new favorite railroad each month.
...you see abbreviations, and immediately think of the railroad with the same initials.
...or, if there isn't a railroad, you think what it could be.

As you go across a level crossing you see a light in the distance and you stop and reverse to watch the train ( this is only if it is safe to do so ) or turn around to watch the train.
Stay safe, support your local hobby group Stop, Look, and listen The key to living is to wake up. you don't wake up you are probably dead.

Hello,
I want to compile the mother of all "you might be a railfan if"/"you might be a model railroader if" lists[:)]. Please, submit as much material as you want, but please only submit your own material-don't use someone else's[8D]. But tell your forum buddies about this. Let's make this something to be proud of and to laugh at at the same time!!![:D]

Thank you,
Daniel
