I found this little puppy sitting on a book shelf at the University of Missouri, St. Louis.......Thought I should share it with the others.....

Volume #1, Issue #1, November 1940 TRAINS

Thats right, the Very First issue of Trains, it is part of the John W. Barriger III National Railroad Library, their collection contains Every Issue of Trains Published from November 1940 to March 2007, The Official Guide from 1871 to 2006, Meeting Minutes from the Milwuakee Roads Inception, and a lot of other things. The Library contains 15,000 books, 17,600 Magazines from Not only Kalmbach and other Publishers, but Official Railroad Magazines from SP, ICG, PRR, UP, CSX, BNSF, L&N, NS, SCL, FEC and many other railroads. The Library also houses the AAR BRE Library. If you are ever in St. Louis, check this library out! Its kinda hard to find, so let me know and I will be glad to tell you!

Did Trains publish through the years of World War 2? Just curious, since this was a time of severe rationing, if they kept operating.
