KUDOS TO OUR OWN ED BLYSARD
Posted by cherokee woman on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 6:27 PM

Just finished reading Ed's story, Read the Rule" in the March 2007 TRAINS!

Ed, that is one FANTASTIC story!!  I was riveted, and couldn't stop until I finished.  (That doesn't always happen with me.)  Sure do hope you contribute more stories like that one!!!

I know, I probably won't get mine for another week or so.

Besides, I'm still reading the January issues. Shock [:O]

Awh shucks, folks...Blush [:I]

Locomutt, "Pounding Rocks and Pulling Pins" should be out sometime next year...

No, seriously, I had taken to writing down some of the funnier things that have happened to me over the last ten years out at the railroad...and Trains seemed the best place to send some of the stories.

Our own Kathi Kube wanted that one, and I have never been one to refuse a pretty lady anything, so....

Trust me, a lot of language editing was needed before anything could be printed!

Glad you guys enjoyed it, hope to be able to tell you some more.

I'm sitting here, trying to be patient as I wait for the March Trains to show up.  Didn't you give Kathi K. your list of relatives and friends to get advance copies?Banged Head [banghead]

Hi Ed, congratulations by the article. If possible send me a copy by email here, because I do not subscribe TRAINS magazine. It´s a bit expensive overseas.

I'll add my two cents in here and say "well done" also. not only did Ed give us a fantastic, atmospheric story about working in a railroad yard with larger than life characters, but it was wrapped inside a universal truth that anyone could relate to. Nicely done.

Actually, it's Mutt's copy, and we did offer it to her.  She wants to wait for her own copy.

Ed, I don't know that I've got any more pull than anyone else around here.  Since it's your article, didn't YOU get an "advance" copy?!?!Big Smile [:D]Wink [;)]Bow [bow]

Ed

Excellent piece.  As Matt noted both a story and a lesson.  Congratulations are definately in order.
