NAME THE GIRLFRIEND
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, October 16, 2003 10:46 AM
OK, most of us know that KevintheRRMan has a girlfriend. If she has ever been called by her name in the forums I have missed it. So it is time that she be given a name that we can call her, until the time her true name is revealed to us. Most of us are tired of having to call her Girlfriend or GF. Like I have said, if she has been named I have missed it.

I will start the ball rolling here. Now remember names can be very long or very short. Just recently O saw on article on AOL where people are calling there newborn kids after products being sold like Porche. [8D]

You can suggest more than one if you like.

Here we go, . . . I suggest we call her . . .Sweeter than Apple Pie--A Find Better Than a Gold Mine--More Appealing Than a Bouquet of Freshed Picked Flowers. (I can't wait for Ed's acronym on this one.)

As a nickmane we can just call her Sweety. [:)]

Your turn.

That sounds like double-trouble to me lol

We really need a way to tell them apart -- and not just by spelling lol

Considering what this place is, perhaps calling her "Katy" might be a good idea.....or maybe Soo! Or maybe after any station with a feminine sounding name (Canora and Elizabeth come to mind)

Well,
Seeing as how she has everybody's interest, at least quite a few of the guys, if we dont call her "the girlfriend" ...
She does present a enigma, how about Helen, as in the lady from Troy, the face that launched a thousand ships.
Or Cleo, as in the Anthony and Cleopatra thing?

DISCLAIMER: I hereby disclaim any and all responsibility for any hurt feeling(s), damaged ego(s), abject misery, anger, pain, outrage, discomfort, claims of harassment or anything else without limitation that may be in any way shape or form caused or contributed to by the following comments which are not intended to cause anything more than a decent chuckle:

My cousin's former girlfriend (now addressed by that four letter word beginning with "w" and ending with "ife") has a favorite saying (to appreciate this you have to envision her-she is 5'6" a natural teutonic blonde from California constructed in all respects like the proverbial brick sanitary facility). Oh, and just in case anybody gets any ideas my cousin is as broad and tall as I am (6'3" 310) although he is a bit lighter and about an inch taller, oh and he makes a living as a law enforcement officer and member of the local SWAT team...

Her favorite saying is "Well...d*mn Baby" with the central vowel of the second word extended to the breaking point...

Therefore, my vote is that we refer to Kevin's girlfriend as "d*amn Baby!"

Of course, only I could suggest this and have it be non offensive (note Disclaimer above)...

Since Kevin is from Quibec it seems only natural to name her,

As a point of reference: I have yet to meet a woman under the age of 40 that remotely appreciates being called maam.

It's like when the 17 year old girl working at Home Depot calls me sir. I'm only 32 for crying out load!

Maam and sir give the younger folks a complex about being old. I guess it's a denial thing.

Call her "Madame" - that's what I call Mrs. Nose's mother. "Madame Mother in Law".

You should hear what she calls me....[:o)]

Erik - wait until you are 50 and they ask you if you want the senior discount - they did this to my driver. The kid was about 17 and came very close to being up-ended!

Jim, you missed nothing as i didn't name her. She doesn't wnat her name mentioned on forums of any sort, I would tell you, but she likes to not mention her name on the internet , and is tigheter then fort knocks when releasing personal information

Me, i'm the opposite.

she\s like this all because of the ABC commercial a few months ago.

I'd tell you, but she doesn't want me too

And because i'm a whimp, i won't dare try and defy that.

Sorry Jim, you'll have to make up a name for her!

As Ed would say, "Don't know what your beef is, don't really care". Never in the forums have I personaly attacked anyone, don't plan to start now. I have said nothing to you or about you to warrant a personal attack. Therefore, it is obivious you have a problem.

I sincerely hope you come to your senses and act your age. Recently a thread was deleted because of people like you. Also people have been banned from the forums. I hope this is not your intention.

I have a good reputation in the forums and don't plan to tarnish it by arguing with you. Most of my post provide humor and entertainment, are encouragement to others, or impart knowledge. If you didn't notice this thread's original post contained a gracious compliment. How did you answer the compliment--with a personal attack.

This is a free country, however, the forums are not. Personal attacks are not needed or necessary. Should you continue said attacks they might ask you to "take your toys and leave the sandbox".

I will not argue with you. I have always been taught that when you argue with a fool you become one. Therefore, when you can make a mature, intelligent comment I will be happy to address it AND I will be happy for you. This will be the only response from me reguarding your unprovoked attack.

Untill we can meet under more pleasant circumstances, I wish you a good day.

ABC commercial? I don't get it.

But anyways......hmm.....I'd still say name her after a train station with a feminine-sounding name. Perhaps Canora?

I um utterly amazed at how maturely Jim handeled that, not that i didn't think he could do it, I never thought i could do it! and i can't handel problems the way he just did.. Coalfired.. that was way over the top, and as far as i'm concerned you owe Jim an apology. I took it as a joke, so should eveyrone else have, So did little miss enigma, she quite Enjoyed the thought of a post being made her her honour, and Jim you msot likely have an e-mail from her Thanking you within the next 24 hours, whenever she has a moment.

The ABC commercial which i refer too depoects a girl, that looks nothing like her, talking to a weird missouri like person on the internet with a background voice saying.. he's too good to be true, thats because he is.. and this girl thinks she's talking to another 13 of 15 year olf boy when shes actually talking to a 56 year old sado masachist. See can't see who she's dealing wiht, and doesn't like to give out her personal information.

I'm quite the oposite, If anyone has a beef with me, let's settle it in person! i'll give you a place where anyone can meat me, and we'll square off! NO GUNS, jsut come armed with a 20, because by the end of it all,. we'll be at some fast food place eating. i'm really that easy to get along with in real life, A llama could get along with me! ..Ok they get along with everyone..

[:D] So Jim your topic was taken in good light, and it's perfectly cool over here.

Man-o-man!I can't belive my eyes!It was a joke,no harm intended!No harm meant!
I thought this forum was for trains, not inane babble!I was already chastised by some Joe guy,to whom I explained I was kidding around,I see no mention of that.I'm very tempted to really open up now.I just went back and read some of the comments, personal attack?why would I want to attack a total stranger?Just where was the attack?I was simply saying,in a sarcastic way, don't you have anything better to do with your time? For this I see name calling,Kevin thinks I'm over the top,no,way over the top!Where in the world do you folks work and live,Utopia? One last shot,OOOPS!,
don't want to be mis-interpreted again. My dictionary states:forum, place, agency,or meeting for PUBLIC discussion, last time I looked this is still the USA,thus a forum is still free to all.You must admit, this is really quite an incredible turn of events ,all based on an entirely innocent comment, totally mis-interpreted by one or all.Your upset?imagine my surprise at this, although I was feeling upset when contacted by "Joe",now I think I feel more anger than upset.I think any reasonable person can see who may be over the top!Next time any of you over sensitive types wi***o start a forum subject, may I suggest reading the heading on the forums, this is supposed to be about trains&railroads, not Dear Abby.Well,in time perhaps you'll cool down and realize
how fooli***his has been, although you may be wound a little too tight.BYE-BYE guys and gals,be careful,it's a real world out there, enter it very slooooowly,or you might get an owie!
Love ya all,Dennis

You know, when your the only one laughing at your own joke, Dennis, that means it wasn't funny...
however, it was purely accidental, I think, although your last p[ost too was somewhat even more saracastic, which I will attempot to ignore, We all make bad jokes, and yes the can get people angry.. so like i do.. Whenever I post somehting, if it's not clear it's a joke, i put at the bottom, Just kidding or J/K that would ahve solved the problem, or "i'm just kidding Jim, that would ahve made all the differnce, even a [:D] tends to lighten things up.

for example.. i'm going to say the word no outloud three times...

No...No...No..

now which one did i say out of agrivation?

if i typed what i said it would look like this:

no...NO?...NO!!!

now wich one did i say out of agrivation ? number 3...

You have to be perfectly clear on here, otherwise you leave room for people to take offense.. and yes Joe is right, we are one big family here.
and you are welcome to join, but still Jim might be abit angry with your comments, even though you were joking.
