There were a couple of incidents on UP's Fresno Line (Sacramento to Bakersfield). Wednesday, A guy was hit by a train in Fresno. According to witness, they think it was a suicide.
Then Thursday, a train derailed near Tipton. I have only heard about it on the radio. I searched various Bakersfield and Fresno media websites, but none had anything about it. The radio reporter said there were no injuries or hazardous material leakage. It must have had the line closed for about a day. On may way to work yesterday and today I saw two trains sitting at the same places on the mainline. They were gone by the time I got off work today.
