I am wondering if anyone is aware of the titles of the books that Linda Grant Niemann has written about her career working on the railroad for Southern Pacific/Union Pacific. An article in last months TRAINS was written by her, however the author's blurb at the conclusion of the article did not mention the titles of her books.
Thanks.
Boomer can be found for under $2 at abebooks.com. There are more expensive copies on up to $30.
Railroad Voices for about $35-$60.
On the Rails shows 1 copy for $89.98.
I read Boomer. I always look forward to finding her articles in TRAINS.

I don't think anyone has the grasp of what goes on with actual railroading movements as this author (Keroac? A total donkey!) She would have made an excellent yardmaster (yes they have a few good ones!). Raizon

You're not required to subscribe to a Kalmbach train-oriented periodical but I think you'll have more fun if you do. TRAINS itself is available at a good discount over single-copy cost. You might also consider CLASSIC TRAINS. - al s. ("al-in-chgo")
