I come to this site to get away from what I call "Stupid Speak" at school, so could we move on and try to give info to the new kid.
Hello, is it Haley?
Any search engine should give plenty of information with the typing in "transcontinental railroad." Let us know what you find out and we will tell you if it is right.

I don't think "Haley" will respond... No use in worrying too much if the post isn't being monitored.

Somewhere deep inside i feel the same way. Oh, and about that teen talk- please excuse me, i will be 99.9% serious from now on. But did any of us gave him the right answer? I kinda feel bad for that kid.

If the teacher is the source of the original questions (factual timeline errors), then the kid is doomed. He/she was furnished enough hints to trip over, just needs to spend the effort doing the research by reading.

ps: PTRA Blue shorts? - a fine sight indeed!
Mudchicken Nothing is worth taking the risk of losing a life over. Come home tonight in the same condition that you left home this morning in. Safety begins with ME.... cinscocom-west

Oooh like "Teen talk" Gag me with a spoon, for sure! (Ok... I'm mixing here...)

Seriously, has anyone emailed this person? (Besides me... I got a kinda mean response... I'm not sure if I'll reply. If I do reply, I will keep Proverbs 15:1 in mind: A gentle response turns away anger, but a harsh response stirs it up.)

Puck,
You could try one from Matthew,
Before attending to the mote in thy neighbors eye,
attend to the beam in thy own.

No, didnt e-mail him, like someone said, he had enough hints to trip over.
Besides, the whole point of going to school is to learn, not copy.
And part of learning is to do research for your self, so you learn how to do research in the first place, so you can find the answers instead of asking someone else to give you the answers.
Didnt the kid say the only reason he was here was to get the answers from us?
Stay Frosty,
Ed

Mean response from the monkey boy? I wonder why. But he shouldn't cheat. And if Mudchicken is right about the teacher, i don't know then. Definetely not the teacher of the year.

Ten places: library, library, library, library, library, library, library, library, library, library.
Two instructions: search, read.

RIDEWITHMEHENRY is the name for our almost monthly day of riding trains and transit in either the NYCity or Philadelphia areas including all commuter lines, Amtrak, subways, light rail and trolleys, bus and ferries when warranted. No fees, just let us know you want to join the ride and pay your fares. Ask to be on our email list or find us on FB as RIDEWITHMEHENRY (all caps) to get descriptions of each outing.

Sounds like buying stock in who ever makes Kleenex would be a good idea. [:D]

Puck-man
PUT DOWN THE FRANK ZAPPA CD'S AND STEP AWAY FROM THE DISC-MAN

Seriously friend, your showing your age, that kinda talk went out of fashion back in in the 80's. Remember, I am from LA and Val-speak was scorned by us as the speach of air-heads, even if Frank's album was a hit nationwide, Val's were not looked up to here.

   Have fun with your trains
