(Not the Western) Where is it #6-no photos, just clues

The city by the bay has a pretty quiet rail scene now.  A former transcon is now a nearby biking path.  The name of a prominate fallen flag adorns the big, rusting trestle leading to a dock that looks like it hasn't seen a train in ages.  That fallen flag gave way to another fallen flag owner, who was gobbled up by a Class 1 in recent memory.  Where am I?

Yes,yes, yes, yes, yes and yes!!  How about that!  I thought that maybe a good clue would be that only the locals can pronounce the name of the bay.  Do you live in the area?

Reference was to Northern Pacific being a transcon.  Brian-why don't you do a where is it?  I think you'd be good at it.

I've tried it a few months back, but just didn't have the time to invest in it (I tried using other's pictures, don't have enough of my own).  I guess I'm having more fun trying to solve them.

EDIT:  Time for bed here.  I'll be watching tomorrow night.

Not from the area, but took a weekend trip up there around 10 years ago.  Have railmap, will travel. Smile [:)]
