Speaking of photography...

I've never been much of a Sony fan, but I did like the KM 5D and 7D. That being said, this looks fairly interesting:

Definately an interesting system. 10.2 MP with in-body image stabilization AND dust reduction? It's like A Sony R1, an an Olympus E1 and a KM 5D crashed into each other and out rolled the A100 (not to mention at a sweet looking price of $900).

Throw in some (autofocus!) Carl Zeiss glass, some goodies courtesy of Minolta (an AF reflex 500mm for example) and some other interesting bits and it's not a bad start for Sony in the DSLR arena.

If you have no prior commitments in glass, or are looking for something fresh, this could be quite an interesting DSLR platform to watch. I'm still probably going to go full frame with a 5D, but this was enough for me to stop and take a good hard look at the presented info.

I think I'm really going to look forward to what Canon brings to the table at Photokina now. The Sony A100 and Nikon D200 certainly look pretty appetizing against the 30D (especially the former at a price that's competitive with the Digital Rebel XT!). Come on Canon...give me full frame under $2K!
