Hello This is my first post im asking if there is a train time schedule for the webcam that would be very helpful spotting the trains , and for just standin there watching for minutes with nothing

If you're lucky, you'll see some of the same trains at about the same time from day to day, but no, there isn't a schedule. You're talking about just looking at the Webcam, right? What fun would it be to think, "At 8:30 I have to go to the Webcam and watch this coal train go through." There will be breaks in the action, sometimes they'll be long.

Maybe you could talk Mike Yuhas into providing some sort of Webcam alarm to alert you when a train is close. You know, something like "You've got RAIL!"

Seriously, watching the Webcam is like any outside railfaning activity--lots of waiting, and you take what comes. If you could actually get out to the park at Rochelle, you'd be able to use the scanner to possibly get an idea how close the trains are, or why they're not coming.

And no, they don't jerk through the diamonds like that in real life--usually!
