looking for old train depot

Can anyone tell me if there is a nice old train depot, anywhere in the country, that is slated to be demolished? I will pay the costs to have it shipped to my land and restore it for use as a home or shop depending on size. Thank you in advance. Tcanavan@aol.com or 302-436-4550

You might try checking with the historical societies for the major railroads in your area. I belong to the Milwaukee Road and Chicago Northwestern societies and they both keep pretty close checks on the status of the old stations and other no longer active facilities and usually know in advance when one is to be destroyed.

I don't know if it is slated for demolition or not. However, there is a beauty at Harrisville, Michigan, about 80 miles north of Bay City. It was a Detroit and Mackinaw (D&M) station. Now probably belongs to the Lake State RR (East Tawas, MI) or the city of Harrisville.
Good luck.
