The Golden Spike NHS 18th annual Winter Steam Festival will be help Saturday 31 Dec 2005. The Jupiter replica will arrive at about 10am and will be on display until about 4:30pm. In addition to the steam demonstration, railroad films will be shown throughout the day.

You know when I was in Promontory they told me both loco's are on display EVERY day to 4PM & the other to 430PM. I do not remember now which one goes to the barn at 4PM but I am guessing the UPRR goes 1st as to reach the barn the other one would have go forward to a xover then go on a another track nearer the building & then xover back over behind the UPRR loco to reach the barn. Normally the locomotives are not used daily between 1Oct and 30 Apr. They do run daily in the summer as you have mentioned. But they will fire one of them up for Winter Steam Fest.
