I am doing a little business with Chicago Rail Link. Does anyone know anything about them?
They have a mixture of old geeps and an ex IC switcher. Seems like an interesting little operation. They had two switch jobs leaving there this morning when I showed up.

They are operating some former Rock Island Trackage and have used that name since May 1985.

The March 2001 Trains has an article on neighboring CSL.

Chicago Rail Link is an Omnitrax operation that operates over the former Chicago West Pullman & Southern and provides local freight service over Metra's Rock Island District. It also operates over the former Pullman Ry (part of RI) from 95th St. to Lake Calumet Harbor and switches under contract to UP at Canal Street and the IMX. Their website is at http://www.omnitrax.com/crl.shtml
The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul
