A few questions, please.
Posted by eolafan on Monday, November 7, 2005 8:21 PM
Hi all. During my four hour drive from home to Ft. Wayne, IN this afternoon...most of it along Rt. 30...I noticed the following and thought I would pose two questions:

a. Saw an ex Wisconsin Southern GP7 (number 753) sub lettered IBCX sitting (shut down) in a siding at a grain elevator in the little town of Hamlet, IN. Can anybody tell me what IBCX stands for?
b. In Warsaw I found the old passenger station, now a small store and partially a private residence. The crossing signal posts had the identification "CF&E Transportation" on all of them and this all appeared rather new, does anybody know what CF&E Transportation stands for?

Thanks to all for helping me out here.

IBCX = Indiana Box Car

CF&E = Chicago, Fort Wayne, and Eastern- new Indiana short line that has a bunch of ex-CNW GP38-2s.
