When it comes to railfans, local railroad officials should know who fans are vs those that plan to do wrong.
I am not opposed to checking in with local railroad officials and letting them know who I am, where I will be, and what I am doing. I have nothing to hide.
I have crews recognize me. It can be a positive thing. If I see anything wrong or anything supicious I can report it.
I see nothing good in Railroads making enemies of everyone.
Most railfans try to obide by the rules and laws.
Railroads should know not only who their enemies are, but their Friends as well.

I think you are exactly right, railroads should respect railfans.

I agree with what you say of respecting the authorities, but have them to respect us as well because we don't want to destroy this country. I don't know why we would.
