Tomorrow 10/23/05 there will be a rare treat. Amtrak's southbound
Coast Starlight
will be detouring down the San Joaquin Valley and over Tehachapi. This is due to trackwork in San Jose. The Bakersfield Californian states this is the first revenue passenger train over Tehachapi since 1971. Amtrak says this is a one time thing so be prepared. The train should be going through the loop sometime between 6 and 8:30 pm depending on when it gets in Sacramento.
I know that there is two other topics on this however none have what time it could happen. I have that time.
