Yes..I've ridden behind them around Horsehoe Curve twice, on past Altoona Railfests, and rode behind them again this past Spring between Harrisburg and Enola Yard on another excursion....

Have you thought about entering your pictures in the Train's photo contest, they are fabulous?

Thanks for the compliments....most of my pics don't come out looking like these...everything came together properly that morning....a perfectly clear sunny day....the train coming through at the time of day with the proper sun angle, and of course, Bennett Levin making sure as usual, that the consist was sparkling clean.....I was quite pleased with the results....

Wow, those are some slick lookin' units. Oh how I wish I had been around to see the Pennsy. Some of the coolest steamers in the world, GG-1's, and really classy paint schemes. Sigh...just need to get my quantum teleportation device working I guess...

...Ah...GG-1's...I will make a weird comparison: Once flew from Chicago to Milw. on I believe it was called a Lockeed Electra 4-engined turbo-prop commercial aircraft...{widest propellers I had ever seen}, and when we took off with full throttle it pushed one back into the seat like nothing before....and....that is the similar feeling I remember from {many}, years ago leaving Harrisburg heading east...pulled by GG-1's...the similar feeling of being pushed hard back into the seat upon accelerating out from the station and on up to the most likely 90 mph range.
