Union Pacific Rebate
Posted by Murphy Siding on Sunday, September 25, 2005 10:16 PM
Yesterday, I found that my genuine Union Pacific tee-shirt had been cut up for rags. It seems that it had holes in the underarm seams that the household fashion Czar didn't approve of. I was wondering: Since this shirt is the genuine article, purchased from UP in their gift shop in Omaha, I'm almost certain that I paid a royalty to UP. Now that the UP emblem is no longer being used, where do I go to get my royalty back?[:-,]

If you have the sales receipt, current proof of ID w/photo, and the UPC from the T-Shirt, I think the Customer Services desk at the Omaha gift shop would cheerfully refund
your money (rebate).

Murphy

Big mistake in the first place. You got suckered into the biggest scam in the world. You should have insisted that the UP pay you a fee for wearing the tee-shirt and thus advertising their fine establishment.

I guess we could say the the action of the household fashion Czar was the second rip-off.[:(!][:(!][}:)][|(]

If it cost you ten bucks, your royalty to Union Pacific cost you maybe $00.30 since a stamp cost more why don't send UP a letter and a pre adressed envolope to send you a check for $00.30 so in the long run you will get back your rolaty and be out two $00.37 cent stamps. [:D]

[(-D] OK.....And when I get my $.30 check I'll put it with that pay-phone refund check of $.35.
At this rate I'll have a dollars worth of checks before the end of the decade.[;)]

Just be careful you don't use the rag with the emblem on it to wipe up something disgusting or UP may go after you for defacing their corporate image.

Would you ask NASCAR for a royalty rebate when your Dale Earnhardt Jr. t-shirt gets torn up and tossed in the rag bin?

[(-D] How ironic-that a post to make light of people becoming too serious about some topics would cause people to be so ...........serious.[;)]

A train shirt is one thing, but would one dare to use as a rag a shirt with such a "deified" name on it. Oh, I should hope not. NOT!

That depends-what does "deified" mean?
