I need to know whatever happen to the former Alco RSD-15's that Uath Railway used to own . Did they get scraped ? Also, I need to know if there is any surviving "allagator's" , RSD-15's , in the U.S. , and how many ?

I don't know how many gators are left, but I do know someone who has one or more for sale. Viking Equipment has at least one for; something like $60,000 to $100,000.

There are 2 Alco RSD-15's in Cedar Park,TX, north of Austin. They are currently no's. 442 & 443. The 442 is owned by the Austin & Texas Central RR and the 443 is privately owned. The 442 is pictured in a recent issue of Trains in an SP 'black widow' scheme. I don't believe that the RSD-15 was ever originally delivered to the SP like that, but there are photos of other 'black widow' Alcos that were used on the Llano (TX) branch of the SP in the 1950's.
