Most seen fallen flag 2005.
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 9:26 PM
RANDOM QUESTION>>>>>>>Of all of the railroads that have disapeared over the last few years, which one is spotted the most? What railroad do you see the most eqipment for that no longer exist. In my area lots of Southern eqipment is seen. The railroad became a fallen flag in 1979. Years later most of or at least it seems most of NS eqipment still reads "Green light to innovation" or "Southern serves the South".

C&NW isn't in the top three in California but it's the most striking because they're so out of place out west.

Or what's left of the BN&SF Locomotives that are still out there. I just don't why the BNSF had stoped the Re-painting program. Now you have very very ugly patched units out there that look so stupid. The Warbonnet Red&Sylver Santa Fe's look so stupid with the patch. Allan.

Seems like there is more and more SP coming through town on the UP line. Today there was an old old old C&NW loco in the train. I was so mad that I couldn't take a picture.

I think I have seen more Conrail than any other, no surprise there. Last year I saw an old PRR boxcar - looked like it was forgotten on siding.
Enjoy

Wait, I totally wasn't even thinking eastern rails. Conrail DEFINATELY is the "fallen flag" that makes it's appearance most, especially with NS.

Coborn35-

I'm not being picky, but your two Conrail units at the bottom of your post are basically fused together.

In terms of locos, I've seen dozens (hundreds?) of CR units, three SP's (two unpatched), 2 ATSF's (both patched), three BN's (all patched), 1 WC, 4 or 5 Soo's, and two D&H units off the top of my head.
