NRHS 2005, Portland, OR!
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, November 15, 2002 11:50 PM
The Pacific Northwest Chapter has been granted host of the 2005 national NRHS convention in Portland, OR in 2005. This event will coincide with the Lewis and Clark bicentennial and the PNWC's 50th birthday, the west coasts oldest chapter. The dates for the event are to be released around December, and events as they're confirmed. Make sure you pick up the newest Trains mag, as it has a great, in depth story of rail around Portland.

See you in '05!

Sounds great, I hope Doyle has his PA's up and running by then. They would be a great addition to the famous steamers you guys have there.
Hmmm, let's see, Michigan railfan takes cross country trip on the Empire Builder. That's starting to sound pretty good!

I don't think we have much more than a year to go to see the PA running! The prime mover is due to be installed very soon. The electrical cabinet is now in the carbody and new traction motor leads have been run. Check NKP190.com

I'm sure Doyles PA will be pulling trains durring the convention.
