Well, first on the list is the ole POWERSTROKE TURBO DIESEL, killin off ricers and hemis left and right, when it gets real rough I slip into one of the broncos to go where even the hummers or saras jeep [:D] would turn around. hehehe,

Well, around the Dallas area, its all streets and no off roading, so for me its my 04 Pontiac GTO. 350 horses is plenty to keep up with the slow train movements around town. Traffic on the freeway is another hassle altogether....

I usually chase in the only car that I have. My "94" Jeep Wrangler. It has a 4 inch suspension lift, 3 inch body lift, 4wheel drive, K&N air filter, off road lights, fog lights, neon lights, 33inch Mud tires, a push bar, flowmaster exhaust.........almost everything on my Jeep is aftermarket engine, interior, and exterior. My Jeep is also a witring nightmare from the lighting system, stereo system, and CB radio.

With the old Neon wonder car (I wondered if it would get me home) I mostly parked where the trains would come to me. Now I have a Chevy van I can trust more.
So if I want to chase a train when it leaves one of the yards in the area I can.
You need a good chase vehical in my area because train have four directions the can leave in.

Depends on where I am going...off in the woods or out in the mud,its a 1995 Jeep Wrangler...
street or parking lot, I use my 2005 Dodge Magnum Station Wagon, with the 5.7 liter Hemi V8....

I used to drive a '73 GM; 3000HP, 6-wheel drive, 0-60 in 30 sec (lite), automatic, about 200 gallons per hour when wide open.

Now I drive a bright red '03 Ford Ranger 4WD "off road".

So I'm curious what all of you use to chase trains around with? Are there a lot of 4x4's out there, or do most of you stick to on road transport? Here's my baby girl ('94 Caprice Classic Police Cruiser) up near Roggen on a VERY old road (note the old white lane markings).
