As far as industrys or yards or interchanges? I already know about the Ventura County Railroad

The interchange at Guadalupe with the Santa Maria Valley Railroad is also another one, small yard, amtrak stop, it used to see more action until the sugar mill in Santa Maria closed down. Here is some more info on what goes on there today: http://www.smvrhm.org/today.html

You've got Gemco yard in Van Nuys. The Leesdale runs West out of that each weekday.
