Track Warrant Terminology

I'm currently in my new hire class for the UPRR and we have several tests upcoming on Track Warrants. I'm understanding track warrants but we have a workbook with 85 questions in it that require us to be able to state what switch we're coming from (The From but not including ......, I need a really easy way to remember what I need to state). (And including), etc. Someone please chime in and help me figure out a way to understand this and to retain the information.

from is where you are and to is where you are going. simple. the catch is what rights you have when you get there.this is where you have trouble ( i am guessing) if you hold the main that is your to. example go from "B" to "E" when you get there hold the main. now your new warrent after you arrive at "E" should read proceede from "E" to "L" and clear the main. the first covers the rear of train while the next covers leaving but if a dispatcher dont want alot of warrents out there he can change the one your sitting on and cover you by saying procede from North siding switch of "E" to "L" . ( this being a north south railroad) this covers the rear of yor train and allows you to proceed to the siding at "L" always remeber you must cover your rear by 3 miles if you are running with 1 warrent ( and are not comming out of yard limits remeber track warrents are only good on main track outside of yard limits) to is from where the rear is if you have 2 warrents from is where the head end is. to is where you are going .
