does anyone have a referral to info that compares u.s. against foreign derailments? either theres more accidents or the reporting is more efficient.. id like to know the incidence of cars leaving the rails compared to foreign r.rs.. also, how this is measured.. is it derailments per 1,000 cars moved or miles covered? instead of using individual countries, would it be better to compare the total track mileage in the u.s. against comparable totals elsewhere, even if it merges 2 or more nations? whatever the yardstoick, id like to know how u.s. r.rs. compare to foreign flags..
