Could anyone shed some light on the state of the Detroit Connecting Railroad?
Industries or motive power?

Never heard of the Detroit Connecting.

There is/was a Delray Connecting Railroad in the Detroit area, which was affiliated with the National Steel Corporation.

Well, I was wrong! That's why the name "Detroit Connecting Railroad (DCON)" kept stickin in my head.

Here is the website information on the DCON:

http://domino-hq01.cn.ca/IT/Shortlines/SL_Static.nsf/shortlines/9FE5C61337D95E7686256811004D7172?opendocument

They are owned by the Adrian & Blissfield Railroad Co. DCON is a short line started in 1998 with 2.25 miles of track handling produce and scrap. The DCON interchanges with CN (GTW) in Detroit.

At the above website click on "Shortline Map" to see where the DCON and other shortlines in Detroit are at.

Hope this helps and good luck.
