Forgive me... let me introduce myself
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 5:11 PM
Greetins and salutaions. I have been reading these forums for some time and I have just recently gotten to where I feel comfortable with posting. I am impressed with the amount of knowledge here and I do so enjoy learning more. Please do not be put off my board name as that was a board name I use on another forum in which I participate. At the time I signed up I had no intention of posting as I was unaware that there was a forum.
Now, I am not a railroader but a rail fan. I am not an expert on railroading. I do railfan quite a bit as I live in the DFW metro area and try to catch as many trains as I can. Although I am still new at all of this. Thank you for reading my introduction.

10 mega-tons of welcomes, NuclearWinter! MRV on in! We're presently at DEFCON 5, unless someone hammers Amtrak, then we'll go to DEFCON 3, lock primary and secondary targets, and insert keys!!

Yes, Tower 55 is in Fort Worth under the 1-30 interchange off Lancaster. I don't know about the Tower 55 group but I am aware that you can no longer railfan near Tower 55 due to homeland restrictions.

Hammers AMTRAK!!! NEVER!!! Can't let them!!!!

DFW is hoping with lots of intermodals and manifests filling the yards. UP is building a new intermodal yard south of Dallas and the state is in talks to move the rails out of urban areas.

Only a couple of rules here........NEVER go around gates or pick up anything trackside-like knuckles, couplers,FREDs,or that nifty little thing with wires on it.

If there are no dogs in heaven, then I want to go where they go.
