...Fellows, I'm as surprised as anyone....I have had it be as late as the 10th of the Month to recieve it...Have no explanation how it arrived so early this time...Postman must have skimmed through it real fast this time...{kidding} of course.

Are you aware of the logistics involved in distribution of the magazine from the printer?

...SP...Yes, I've seen the explanation of why it varies some to different districts different times....And believe of course that is much of the reason but so much variable in delivery times might have a few other reasons.
Locomutt.....Don't let your postman linger at the mail box...he may be reading it and forget to slip it in the box....Again, kidding of course.

Well lets explain it for the great un-washed.

Although the US post office in most domestic cases actually places the magazine in your mailbox, the printer never mails your copy. As the run of the magazine comes off the line, it is palletised to zip regions in the USA. These pallets of trains are than drop shipped via an LTL truck carrier to a post office in the subscriber's region.

What LTL carriers are used in this process by Trains and its printer?

....If we were paying a bit more in postage the delivery time would be a bit more regular.

I hope you all enjoy that issue. Around here we're just shipping the July issue to the printer tomorrow. Ah, on to August... [:D]

Kathi

But wait. If we're working on the August issue, why on earth is it so blasted cold around here???? Grrrr... [:0]

Kathi

We could start a thread as to why the delivery of spring and summer has been so slow this year. So many forum members, so many differenct opinions.

Kathi, which one will have your article you were down here working on
last August? Waiting somewhat patiently for that one to come out!
