I've been looking without success for the number series on Union Pacific F-3 Phase II Diesels. I'm renumbering some of the original Kato N units, which were issued with no. 905. Can anybody tell me the beginning and end of this series?

All the answers you have about UP F3s are answered in Volume I Number I of THE STREAMLINER the official publication of the UP Historical Society. The 900 numbers were assigned to the F3s that were assigned to passenger service. No. 900 to 904 were F3 Phase II early(1947) and 905 to 910 were F 3 Late models (1948) Were renumbered in 1953 to freight service 1451 to 1461 (903 wasnt renumber until 1955 to No 1454. The remaining F3 were numbered in the 1400 and 1500 series. Hope this is a help for you
