Train Language and Themes

Hello. My name is Leigh and I work for a non-profit agency. We are working on a fundraising event in which trains are the theme.
Since I'm guessing this group has some impressive train knowledge, I was hoping some of you might have suggestions for popular train names, equipment or related information that might help us authenticate our theme and make the event more exciting.
Please email any and all ideas to lcarducci@handmaker.com.
Thanks, in advance, for your help!!

Train names meaning names of passenger trains? Train names meaning names of railroads?
Some populat train names from the past are "Broadway", "20th Century Limited", "Phoebe Snow", "Crusader", "SuperChief", "Daylight", California Zephyr","Hiawatha","Canadian", etc.

Most railroads were regional, thus your people might be more receptive to trains/railroads they can (or could) identify with. So where are you?

Thanks for the replies. We are located in Tucson, Arizona. Western train themes are therefore most welcome.
