a lot of the ole katy line is ripped out some still in use like from Sanantonio tx
to Kansas city & Ft Worth Tx to oklahoma city ok ex
OKKT line a spinoff of
MKT this was the oklahoma branch line
but the katy was a part of the
UP all along it was a southern branch and at 1 time the
MKT was bigger than
UP by about 1000 miles both the katy an mopac ran side by side from KC to wagoner OK where they split off katy went to Ft Worth tx and mopac went to N Little Rock Ark today trains headed north to KC change crews in Coffeeville Kansas and trains bound for FTW & NLR change crews in parsons Kansas
coffeeville is very famous back in the late 1800's the DALTON gang was gunned down while robbing the bank which still stands today coffeeville was served by the
MP &
AT
SF
now its only trains are
UP nbnd &
SKOL & NOKL locals
parsons kansas was a
MKT line but is now
