BNSF and UP fans.your new power is on its way. Matt and I saw alot of new power on CSX going west. It was matts idea to go and look today[;)]

What model engine. And which comapny made the engine? GM, or EMD?

I have to keep a sharp lookout for that one! Speaking of new power I saw a NS # 9929 ES40CW today (3/13/05) for the first time in Conchohocken, PA.

The ups were aces and the bnsf was #7695 in the new paint scheme. maybe a gevo engine? anyhow with all that new paint they looked pretty sharp

I think it's pretty good that all four big railroads are getting new power this quickly in 2005 (one would have expected the price of complying with Tier 2 to make the units more expensive, and that the railroads would have "stocked up" on the older stuff in '04).

I went to an unusual part of the yard (for me) today to take my tests, and saw two new UP GEVOs (they call them C45ACCTEs), and a CSX SD70ACE.

Still have not seen a BNSF unit in new paint but have seen a GEVO unit in "old" paint.
