Barren NS yard in KC

Does anyone know of any expansion, rebuilding or any other work about to done on Norfolk Southern's north Kansas City yard? In the past couple of weeks I've seen it more empty than at any other time in the 3 years that I've lived in the KC area. There was a fire on the Hannibal Bridge late last week which closed it(the bridge) for 2 days, which could have affected the past couple of days, but it had been like that beforehand. There is a parking structure across the street, more or less, from the yard which gives a great view and one of my favorite "low key" KC railfanning spots, so I hope it is only a temporary lull. Any info would be appreciated. Terry in KC
